F-2-R VISA

F-2-R visas are available in areas with declining populations. It is possible to obtain F-5 (permanent residency) after 5 years. The F-2-R visa allows you to get a different job for 2 years, and after 2 years, you can only change jobs in the same area and in the same industry.

F-2-R Eligibility Requirements

  1. A domestic graduate or expected graduate (D-2 or D-10) with an associate’s degree or higher. 
  2. An income factor of more than 70% of the gross national income (GNI) per capita as of the date of application for employment by the manufacturer.
  3. Employment Requirements: Employment in an industry designated by the Ministry of Justice (residence and place of business must be the same).\
  4. Completion of level 3 or higher in the Korean Language Proficiency Test or level 3 or higher in the Social Integration Program. \
  5. Criminal record certificate
