The D-2 visa is a residence permit for people who wish to receive an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or graduate degree. The work training school is D-4-6.

What are the requirements for D-2 visas?
Required documents when applying for a Korean D-2 student visa:
- Admission certificate issued by a Korean university.
- Proof of student’s financial situation: bank statement or scholarship, etc.
- Visa application form
- A passport with a copy of the first page
- The size of the applicant’s photo should be 3.5 x 4.5 cm. The background should be white. Photo should be taken within the last 6 months.
- Admission fee (textbook fee, dormitory fee, etc.)
- ID card of the country of residence
- Documents demonstrating your family relations
- Korean language certificate (if required)
- Invitation Letter from the National Institute for International Education of Korea (NIIED) (if required)
- Alien Registration Card
- Business Registration Certificate from the relevant educational institution D-2 VISA
- Countries designated by the Korean Ministry of Justice must submit. After completing the degree program, change to a pre-graduation job-seeking visa (possible 3 months in advance)
How long can a student visa holder stay in Korea?
The length of stay in Korea depends on the school’s study program and is listed on each school’s certificate of admission.
Can D-2 student visa holders work in South Korea?
Part-time work is possible at hours recognized by the Korean Ministry of Justice (maximum, 30 hours per week)
Can Korean D-2 student visa holders bring their parents, spouse, or children to the country?
Holders of a Korean student visa can bring their spouse and children under 19 as dependents. They must apply for an F-3-1 visa.
